We were the official partner of the first ever Redbull Influencer event last week in Hamburg, Germany.
The Redbull Gameball Royale event, powered by CosmosDirekt, was a huge online hit.
In a mixture of “Dodgeball” (Völkerball) played by many kids at school, and a moving digital playing field, this live event had the people going crazy.
The participants of the event were all social influencers from a variety of backgrounds (predominately gaming). All together there were 40 players and therefore four teams who went head to head.
This meant online coverage was guaranteed.
The rules of the game were pretty simple – your team had to knock-out their opponents on the field, just like in dodgeball, however, as to expect from a Redbull Event, the field change format and size throughout the game, which made for a challenging event. The field size changed, since the players played on the largest ever digital playing field in the world. So if you were losing team members who were “hit”, your field got even smaller. Shields were occasionally added to the playing field, enabling you some protection throughout the game. A little like an insurance throughout the game.
Why we were involved? We wanted to highlight the benefits of our accident insurance to this young target group. If you’re out there being active and taking on the world, it’s probably best to be well insured.
